I know it's only been open for three days, but...
Has anyone been to the lottery for White Christmas who might be able to say how the turn out has been? How many names do they draw?

They give away 22 tickets.
Saturday night there were about 40 people there, I would estimate.

I was there for tonight's lotto.
Everybody won.
Names are taken 90 minutes prior to curtain. Drawing one hour prior to curtain.
$26.50. The entire front row of the Orchestra.
The show is INCREDIBLE!

Finally, a show that you can come out of and still sing the songs from the show! White Christmas was such fun (a hell of a lot better than The Grinch the past two years). The tap dancing was fantastic. "I Love A Piano" was the highlight of the show for me. Just wonderful. Patterson, O'Malley, Denman, and Bogardus were all excellent. A wonderful addition to Broadway and to the holiday season.
Plus, they already have souvenir programs!
Congrats to all involved.

Posted: 11/17/08 at 9:43amThe show officially opens on the 23rd. Get there and do the lotto before that date, because I have a feeling it's going to get a heck of a lot more popular once the reviews come out.

Do as WannaBeaFosterSays. I saw its first preview on Friday, and I'm going again on Tuesday (a surprise gift from a friend). Though it's already playing to a packed house, after its opening (and the closer you get to Christmas) it's going to be rather a hot ticket.
It's an absolute delight...I'll post more about it later.
I think I'll try the lottery while I can....even later this week!

Posted: 11/17/08 at 12:46pmI won't be able to get out there and see it in NY this year, so I am bummed. Glad to hear it's as good as it was in 04 and 05 and I have a feeling it's already a hot ticket this winter!
