Did you notice the subtle but gorgeous white-knotted-ribbons (for marriage equality) worn by some of the presenters and nominees?

That's why I wear a white hanky in my back pocket. For "marriage equality."
I ended up focusing more on the conspicuous lack of white ribbons tonight. I don't recall many more than the ones Eug mentioned.

I agree. Once there's marriage equality, there won't even need to be red ribbons anymore.
I think it's white ribbon KNOTS ( as in tie the knot) that were shown but plain white ribbons are against domestic violence/ male on female violence @ least in Ontario.
I was surprised that on TONY night, the Gay Easter, there was only one mention of marriage equality and it was from the STRAIGHT producer of Hair.
What is the White Ribbon Campaign (WRC)?
The White Ribbon Campaign (WRC) is the largest effort in the world of men working to end violence against women (VAW). In over fifty-five countries, campaigns are led by both men and women, even though the focus is on educating men and boys. In some countries it is a general public education effort focused on ending violnce against womenn

I was wondering what the white ribbons were for. Thanks for clearing that up.
Sabrelady: Your definition of "white ribbon" is correct... but that's not relevant necessarily to this conversation.
I am referring to the white knotted-ribbons that were worn on the lapels of some of the presenters on the Tonys. They represent Marriage Equality.

See, I can't keep any of this straight anymore.
Which one means j.o.? And I saw a Subaru with a silhouette of a cat with rainbow stripes in it? Does that mean hippy **** or something?
FindingNamo: White hanky in left-pocket means "beat my meat" while in right-pocket means "I'll do us both". Goggle it, girl!

Oh! So that's why it's the symbol for gay marriage. Cuz, once you're married that's pretty much it. Am I right?!
J. Robert Spencer wore won too. I saw it in some pictures of the Tony after party.

What about the GIANT white ribbon on Lucie Arnaz's shoulder? It looked like it was eating her-what does that stand for?
