The Isabelle Stevenson Award is a special non-competitive Tony Award given to an individual from the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations, regardless of whether such organizations relate to the theatre. It was first awarded to Phyllis Newman in 2009, and had since been presented to David Hyde Pierce, Eve Ensler, Bernadette Peters, Larry Kramer, Rosie O'Donnell, Stephen Schwartz, and Brian Stokes Mitchell.
Who is one individual from the Broadway community that you think should receive the Isabelle Stevenson Award someday? I kind of have a feeling that Seth Rudetsky could receive it this year.

Sorry Seth, it ain't happening!
I really want it to be Michael Greif
What has he done to deserve the award?
Seth Rudetsky immediately came to my mind as I was reading your post. His hubby would be equally deserving... James Wesley.
With his recent efforts in creating Broadway For Orlando, Seth Rudetsky would be a great choice. It would also serve as a way of honoring his work in the theatre community over the years!

Given all the work he's done with Stars in the House within the past year and a half with his husband, I think Seth is now an even more viable candidate for the award.

This year’s recipient of the Isabelle Stevenson Award is…two-time Tony-winning choreographer Jerry Mitchell! This is for his outstanding dedication and contributions to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and for more than three decades of volunteer service through the arts.

Jerry deserves this!
I miss Isabelle on the Tony’s always loved when she’d give her speech and then say “go see a show”
