Who do you think should get Audrey?

Kerry Butler was offered the role of Audrey, while an excellent performer and good friend of mine Felicia Finley(recently Amneris in Aida) auditioned for it and has gone beck once a week for call backs and they have narrowed it down to them! Who do you think should get it?

Yough call. I love both 'em and they are very different actresses who would have very different takes on the role. It's like apples and oranges to me, ya know.

I would love to see Felicia in that role- i've never seen Kerry perform. But I loved Felicia in Aida.

Felicia did a wonderful job of playing a bit of an airhead as Amneris is Aida. I think she'd be able to pull of Audrey with no trouble at all and I"m sure she'd sparkle doing it. I can easily hear her singing "Suddenly Seymour".

Not Kerry, i love her, but why have her stuck in high voiced cahracters the rest of her life, and Penny is somewhat like Audrey just younger, no real challenge there. Actually If not Alice Ripley I would like to see an up and coming actress like Felicia Finley who has her feet in the door but hasn't REALLY made a name for herself like Alice, Kerry, Sutton, etc.

I disagree, Kerry has definitely made a splash as Penny Pingleton, and then rumors of her as Ariel and or Audrey and then way back with batboy, as with Felicia all I know is she was chorus in wild party and recent Amneris in Aida.

I love Felicia with every fiber of my being.

She created Ditzy Blonde Amneris. She was the one who made up the hands clapping during the Fashion Show runway. She managed to put on a serious face and make the audience believe she wasn't joking when her ditzy lines came up.

I can see Felicia as a total reinvented Ellen Greene for this part.

Neither Kerry nor Felicia are 'names,' except to the most devout of theatergoers.

I'm excited to possibly see Kerry in 'Little Shop.' She's a performer I enjoy seeing.

I've never seen Kerry live, but I can see her voice singing the Audrey songs from what I hear on HAIRSPRAY.

Felicia should totally get Audrey! She would absolutley kill that part because she has a killer voice! I know that Kerry has it now, but Felicia totally deserved it!

she didn't drop out. there was decision made that she would not stay with the show after the intial run was cancelled. I would elaborate, slightly, but certain individuals here *DUANE* tend to be ass if Craig and I mention anyting involving Kerry Butler or Alice Ripley and Little Shop.

After seeing the way Kerry absolutely stole the show with a teeny part in Hairspray, I can only imagine what she'd do with Audrey. I hope she gets it.

Keep in mind,

Whoever plays Audrey will get to be on the recording. I'd rather Felicia than Kerry.

because! She has an amazing voice and I have seen both of them and I know the part of Audrey and I think Felicia is more suited for the part! She could make it work!
