Posted: 8/13/06 at 3:03pmGo up the stairs at the Broadway entrance (the elevator is on 50th). When you reach the theatre and the main hallway to the lobby, the stage door is to your right and the lobby is to your left. However, some of the actors also come out through the house...

Saw the show for the first time ever last night and really enjoyed it! I had no idea what to expect, since I had never heard the cast recording or seen the show before. It was a simple cute little show that definitely worked in this small space. The actors were all fantastic and even though I had never heard the recording before, I recognized many of the songs in the show. I hope it gets great reviews.
At the stage door, I specifically wanted to meet Leo Burmester so he could sign my Thou Shalt Not CD cover and my Raggedy Ann playbill. Yes, he was completely shocked when I pulled out that playbill...but more than gracious to sign.
Would definitely recommend this...don't pay $75 though...get tickets on tdf if you can.
PS: Great meeting you, TomMonster!

Good lord, he'll probably faint when you give him THAT one to sign!
There's a blurb in today's NY Times about Dorthy Martin, the pianist. 4,800 shows and counting!
PS: Great meeting you too, WithoutATrace. Also, Bobby and the rest enjoyed meeting you too!

I forgot to ask him last night about his daughter Laura Benanti and if she's feeling better...
It was good to talk with Tom Jones, though. Hope he's better today!

The Fantasticks was the first cast album I ever owned. I used to run around my living room singing "Much More" when I was five. It was largely responsible for my early love of musical theater. Getting Rita Gardener to sign my old, worn out CD jacket just about made my life.
I am SO excited to see this.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride.
I love you because I know no other way than this.
I believe in fate
But it's up to us to follow through
