David Bedella, who originated Satan in the show and won the Oliver for it, was quoted in an interview I read as being glad when the show was done as it had been taking over his life and he'd had enough. I don't think he's in any hurry to do it again. Also, he is on the original London cast recording, is Jiear.

I know they are on the recording, but I thought it was pulled off the shelves...Jiear mentions this on her website and that it's only available on ebay now.

I can understand Bedella not wanting the role to take over again (I guess...it is a job, right? Whatever.) However, it's a concert. Noone is asking him to perform it 8 times a week.

The CD is available on the UK iTunes but not in the US, which sucks a lot since it costs $45.99 on Amazon.com, too expensive.

I ordered the DVD from Amazon.co.uk for rather cheap... then the shipping ended up costing more than the DVD.

Now every so often Amazon.co.uk sends me an e-mail wishing me a "happy Christmas". Weird!

You can get the CD at Borders for a slightly cheaper sum. Basically, it's 32 bucks.

I saw it in London and really loved it. People are very hot or cold about it though. Search whatevertube for clips, and they should give you an idea of whether this is the sort of thing for you.
