Two questions:

How old is Orfeh?
What role did she play in Footloose? Was she a replacement??

I BELIEVE Orfeh is 31 as of now, and will be turning 32 in March(from imdb.com). And Orfeh was originally a swing in Footloose in 1998, and was then in the role of Rusty in 1999, but I don't believe it was as a replacement, because where I'm looking(broadway.com) usually says if they were a replacement or not.

So, there ya go.

She was definitely a replacement, since she started playing the role after she was a swing (which means someone else had to play it before then). She actually talked about it at Chatterbox. She never went on when she was a swing, because no one ever called out. As soon as she left the show, they started getting sick and calling out, and they eventually asked her to return to play Rusty.

I love that the moment I described earlier (belt, growl, gospel hand in the air thing) is in that video clip!

Well .. *shrugs* I just thought that it would say replacement, like, for example, for Jennifer Laura Thompson, it says she was a Galinda replacement. Whatever.

Those video clips make me want the CD really bad. And since they look off the song clips that they had up there before, I neeed something.

That original cast is so (justifiably) bitter that I'm sure that's why the demo songs were taken down.

Saw the matinee yesterday. Miss Orfeh wailed the finale. Any word on the cast album?

I saw the show Saturday night (even more fantastic than I remembered it), and was talking to Orfeh afterwards. The website mentions a cast recording, and she said that all signs are pointing to one, but that with her luck she'll be all "Yeah, definitely!" to everyone, only to have the plans fall through.
