To anyone who has written to someone while they were at the City Center, what address did you use? I'm currently debating whether I should use: "130 West 56th Street, New York, NY 10019 - from their website" or "West 55th Street Between 6th and 7th Avenues - from a ticket I have." I know they are relatively close to each other, but I just want to make sure that my letter (for Sutton Foster) gets their quickly and safely. Thanks! :)
In terms of the City Center question, I have never tried writing to them myself, but the audience entrance is on 55th while the stage door (and likely the mail drop) is on 56th, so I would use the 56th Street address.
"What was the name of that cheese that I like?"
"you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start"
"well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"
i got my addams family playbill and cats postcard back, signed and personalized, from terrence mann today. he also sent me a really nice note. it was a nice surprise considering he's been one of my idols forever. :)
~a signed headshot from matt morrison ~a nice little note from celia kennan-bolger ~and e-mails from LaChanze and Jeff Blumenkrantz
that's fantastic. all of these are. i still have not received from the tribe. wonder if i should just resend it to London. i am surprised actually i haven't.
"I'm sending out a bunch of envelopes with SASE envelopes inside. I'm addressing each envelope to a specific actor in each show with the theater's address. Is this correct? Also, in each envelope I wrote a short letter saying how wonderful they are etc.. and politely requesting a playbill signed. Is that ok? thank you"
that sounds great. perhaps i should start from scratch. i at least have personal videos of my fave cast talking to us and saying stuff to my daughter. i was told by gavin creel in NY when I asked him about mail, it takes a while for them to get stuff and yet on the facebook page it said to send post to the theatre.
oh well...it's all fine. and i have received an autographed book from Seth Rudetsky. :)
I got a Corbin Blue In the Heights playbill today. Nothing special he just signed mine no personalization, not, or anything. Im still happy that he sends back to his fans at all, im sure he gets LOADS of stuff every day.
Has anyone tried the cast of Sondheim on Sondheim, particularly Ms. Barbara Cook? I want to send her my "At Carnegie Hall" CD booklet to be signed (with a fan letter, of course), and wanted to know if anyone's gotten anything from that theatre and/or Ms. Cook herself.
jamiekennywicked - i sent to her a few days ago and i am waiting :) on her video blog she showed fanmail she got and said she was gonna pass it on so yea im sure she does
i got back from the cast of Fiddler on the Roof (tour)! Mary Stout sent me a letter :)
And I havn't gotten anything back yet. I feel bad that she feels like I think of her on the bottom of the totem pole.
