Posted: 12/4/05 at 10:23amLast night I was wearing my Les Mis sweatshirt, and a friend and I got into an argument about who it was on the front. Now, I have never had any question about this. And I didn't know anyone else could either. I told her it is Cosette, and she was convinced it is Eponine. Do people really think it's Eponine on the front?

Posted: 12/4/05 at 10:31amIt's Cosette. It is from the drawing of an original edition of the novel. People think it's Eponine because in the show, she is dressed like that as a little girl and as an adult.

Posted: 12/4/05 at 11:56amIn some book (American Psycho, I think? It got made into a movie where the guy kills people in psychotic ways then hides them under floorboards and what not. I'm assuming that happens in the book), the first scene takes place in a taxi (I think) in New York City, and the main character keeps seeing the Les Miz logo, and keeps referring to "Eponine." And I got mad, cuz yeah, it's (Young) Cosette.

As a related point is Les Mis generally spelt "les Mis" or "les Miz"? all help greatly appreciated!

Posted: 12/4/05 at 3:10pmWhen the wholly untalented cast of the final (THANK YOU JESUS) American Tour of Les Miserables came through Baltimore, the cast wore baseball caps that said, "I'm in Les Miz" on the back. The merch guy told me that they spell it Les Miz because it's how you say it...without the whole word, people might pronounce it like Les Miss, which I bet they'd rather not have people say.

She must be the type who writes drag fic. I mean, it could be Gavroche, in drag, if it weren't for the Bayard etching...
