Who like Ruthie Henshall?

I just want to ask who like Ruthie Henshall ? And who in this board is even a fan of hers... just curious
to reply her reviews as velma in UK, i think she's cool in the role. She's a little bit too fat, but thought she's great anyway.

She wasn't so much fat as out of shape both physically and vocally. She could barely kick her leg over the chair in When Velma Takes The Stand and her I Can't Do It Alone was a visible struggle for her. The singing was also decidedly underpar for her. I used to be a huge fan of hers, but after seeing her Velma, not so much.

Loving your icon though. Danny Crossley is a very beautiful man.

She was in shape when I saw her in PUTTING IT TOGETHER. I had seen an extremely out of shape Liza Minnelli the night before in MINNELLI ON MINNELLI.

Not trying to make exscuses for her, but shes not fat so much as she had a baby....But so did Charlotte D'Amboise and that women was prolly doing the cell block tango while she was giving birth.

I met Ms.Henshall a few years ago(mutual friends)she is very sweet and funny. We had dinner and then went to see "Forbidden Broadway", which as always was wonderful. I saw her in "Chicago" here in NY, she was in great shape and sang the heck out of it.
This was before "Peggy Sue", she wanted Hugh Jackman for the male lead (who wouldn't).
Did anyone out there see "Peggy Sue.."?

I saw Ruthie play both Velma and Roxie. Although i thought she was good as Velma she was SOOOOOO much better as Roxie, she really was awesome as Miss Hart.

I must admit that Ruthie is having a little struggle in WVTTS n ICDIA... but her All That Jazz both in UK n Broadway was so cool!Unluckily have not seen her live except from CHICAGO.... thought her PIT was VEEERY gd! Well... she's one of the people I think could actually play most roles in the world!

I love Ruthie Henshall...her "I Dreamed a Dream" is awesome.

First saw her in London years ago at a Childen With Aids Benefit (hosted by Dame Diana Rigg and had Henshall, Frances Ruffelle and Maria Freidman). Saw here here at City Center, and in Chicago and Putting It Together.

Love her cd's too.

When I saw her in Putting it Together I definitely thought she'd be a perfect Velma... haven't seen her as it, though.
