Hey everyone. I'm new here and have been enjoying reading all your posts. Then I decided to join in the fun!!
So, here's my first post and my first couple of questions:
1. Who, here on the boards, lives in the NY area? 2. Who here has actually been in or currently in a Broadway musical/play, past or present? And if you don't mind, share with us which one. I hope this is a fun way to learn a bit about you all.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
Hey, off the subject a sec. As I said I'm new here. Why is my picture icon not showing up. I uploaded one and I see it when I "Reply" to a post, as I'm doing now. What do I have to do to get my icon to show?
Exactly! I see it when I Reply, but not when I'm just looking through the posts I've already written. I love my "Handprint" icon and want to display it, but I can't.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't expect someone to post their real name, just wanted to see who has really been in a BWY show. By reading the posts, it seems that several posters here have been in shows.
Yeah, I've read several of Marc's posts. I just assume it is him. His screen name is his real name, so I guess it's him. But on the other hand, you never know, huh?
I live in NY. Its the best, thats because broadway is here
"[My son]'s really into my music, but one day we were listening to Billy [Joel] in the car and he said, 'Daddy, I think Billy's songs are a little better than yours." (Michael Cavanaugh)
I'm from CA but will hopefully be in NY in a year for Grad school. My fingers are crossed:) And then I can see tons of theater!!! YAY!!!!!!!
What is your dream role?
My dream role would be to be myself. To be performing at the Hollywood Bowl and to have an audience there just to see me, as Stephanie. They are there because they like what I do as a singer, an artist and a person (the last being the most important). I enjoy escaping and portraying other characters, but to be accepted and wanted as yourself... that's amazing! --Stephanie J. Block
Just one of the many reasons I admire and respect Stephanie!!
