I'm a Long Islander myself, so I'm about 45minutes outside the city although I'm transferring colleges to be in the city this semester.

Actually i live in Texas I've been to nyc twice and plan on moving there as soon as i am out of college....i wish i could go to NYU and study law there but unfortunetly it would cost me both arms and legs...and maybe an eye, lol. So yeah.... But once i get to NYC u can count on me not coming back home. Everything i hear or see i can somehow relate to nyc, my friends get mad at me sometimes for being so obsessed, lol. My room is covered in stuff i got in nyc or pics of nyc...it's crazy. You guys that live there are so lucky! :)

I'm an island hopper. Born on Long Island, school on Staten Island, work in Manhattan. The convenient thing is that no matter where I'm going to/coming from, it's always 45 minutes.

WHO said Long Island is New York? It is not! (i'm from LI.) Long Island has Westbury Music Fair, where 'Steve & Edie' and Don Rickles are headliners. I live in the Theater District of nyc now. The Time hotel? where is it?

I'm in Stamford, Millie. 35 minutes by car, 45 minutes by train. Born and raised. One wouldn't think so, given my heavy New York accent (which it took years to learn how to control... and chasing_rainbows can attest to it when I slipped on the phone the other day haha)...

uuuuuuuuuuugh this one's accent. I've rarely been out of the city for more than 2 weeks at a time since I'm 3 years old, and *she's* the one with the accent.

Hahahaha Like I said, I've learned to control it... but even in controlling it, you can still detect it a bit. However, when I get pissed and go off (which would have been me on the phone the other day), I sound like I was born and raised in one of the boroughs.

Born in Brooklyn, moved to Staten Island when I was nearly 10, moved to Tampa at 34, and to Orlando almost 2 years ago.

I'm a New Yorker...or a Floridian...whichever works to my better advantage at the time (grin).
