During "Legally Blonde" did they take out Emmett saying "Please would you open the door?" since...there was no door as you said?
The changes sound like they make the show lackluster to anyone who has seen the show on Broadway.

obviously its not going to be as big and i cant think of the word as the broadway show, but they made it their own..ive seen the broadway version 5 times now and although i prefer the bway version, this one did pretty well
yeah, he did change the line..i like the courtroom scene because it seems more intimate (theres one part where he puts his hands on her shoulders and is trying to comfort her) but also a struggle because theyre walking around the room...i dont know how to explain it im sorry if im not doing a great job! haha
"becky isnt as tall as the other elles, and vivienne is taller..so becky thought instead of saying shes twice her size (since shes not)" Wouldn't that mean she is if Becky's short and Vivienne is tall?
i think what he meant to say is Becky and Megan are about the same height so the line wouldn't work
what color was natalie's hair as paulette?
what ensemble parts did everyone play? can someone post the cast list from the program/playbill?
Yeah that confused me too. I think they meant "isn't as short"?
That always seemed mean to me when Tracy or Gaelen was on as Vivienne. Not nice to be calling out the girls for not being as svelte. Even though Tracy is maybe the most gorgeous girl ever.

What kind of wig does Serena have? Tracy styled or the way all the other serenas have it.
Leslie had the same kind of wig that Cara Cooper and Tiffany Engen wore. Except she wore a headband.
Tracy and I think Michelle Kittrell wore the ponytail one. Lindsay had her normal track wig. I think Becky wore her normal track wig too.

im sorry, i meant to say it the other way around! the vivienne on tour isnt as tall as kate shindle, so saying shes twice her size would mean calling her fat (or so she thought)
cortney had on a plain brown wig, a la tracy jai

How's the tour Emmett (whose name I forget), speaking of which?
Emmett is D.B Bonds. I didn't like him immediately, but he grew on me as the show went on.
I didn't mention earlier that I thought Alex Ellis was a great Chutney/Kate and Gretchen Burghart was a great Enid.
To be honest, the only performances I wasn't thrilled with (not that they were "bad")were Brooke and Warner. Warner seemed to lack that air of superiority that I am used to seeing. It made me wonder why Elle was so "in love" with him. LOL!
Brooke was a little too "tough" and "cocky" for me. And I am wondering why they didn't use the "trick" jumprope. Instead of that, she is lying on the table, "frozen". I just thought it was a little weird.
The line change in "Positive" last night was "...some debutante J. Crew Kung Fu. It works.
In "Ireland" the lyrics are changed to: "...the Highland bagpipes drone".
I am going back TOMORROW night (I'm going to be having a LOT of PB&J sandwiches for lunch this coming month, LOL!!!)...and I'm going Friday AND Saturday.
I know that's a bit much. But I could be addicted to much worse stuff. Right?
Oh! I got to meet the dogs! Frankie and Roxie (the Bruisers) and China the bulldog and her understudy whose name escapes me right now. I was invited to pat them, so I did! They are so "laid back"! I think that Bill Berloni should open a school to teach people how to train "regular" dogs. He'd make a TON of money! These dogs were just "chillin'".
The show is wonderful, the cast is wonderful! Go to see "Legally Blonde" because it will make you feel GREAT!

Is James Sampliner conducting right now? He's been away from the Broadway company all week, and I'm wondering if it's to get the tour up and running.
The program book lists Jan Rosenberg as Conductor. James Sampliner is listed as Vocal Supervisor on the title page right above Jerry Mitchell's name. The orchestra sounded great - I guess about 5 travel and then they hire local musicians in each city. I counted about 10 when I looked into the pit at Intermission.
Paulette's wig was a platinum-blond updo.
Aw, I was hoping they would match Natalie Joy Johnson's haircolor. I think she's gorgeous and I hope the blonde doesn't take away from that and make her look TOO "shticky". Another fangirl LZ question: Is the Stenographer in "Bend and Snap" like she was on Broadway?
Also, is Nick Dalton the male hairdresser or is it another ensemble member?

the stenographer is lauren, and yeha shes in bend and snap...but its weird, she doesnt play the 'dorky' character as much - like no glasses or anything
who does the "hey wait for me!" line? is that gonna be lauren?
she doesnt play the 'dorky' character as much - like no glasses or anything
Doesn't that make the part about living alone with her cat completely irrelevant and random?
I agree with adamgreer...it seems like she'd almost need some "disguise" as she's totally gorgeous.
The lack of all the "big" sets used on Broadway does not damage the show itself. In fact, I would maintain that the simpler sets used in the tour demonstrate the strength of the basic material, which works just as well without the spectacle. This production will certainly encourage school and community groups to produce the show in the future because it clearly demonstrates that all that "great big stuff" is not required. What you need that is far more important is a talented, energetic cast, and that commodity is very much on display in this company.

Tomorrow night I will pay better attention! I fixated on certain characters and was making comparisons.
If I could talk to Jerry Mitchell and ask that he make ONE change....it would be the opening. To me, they are just running around. I think that a "one story" Delta Nu house would be better than the "running in circles" that is in place now. But that's me.
And I know I don't know how all of this stuff works....
but...
if they can still drop stuff from the "top" of the proscenium (sorry, that spelling looks wrong)....build the "house" even if only a couple of girls can get up there....and save the beginning of "What You Want". The staircase is really missed.
does Lauren Zakrin do the robe to fully dressed line (hey wait for me!) or does someone else?
who plays DA Joyce Riley?
I don't know if it could be Lauren who does that line, since her solo line comes before that part.
Maybe they give it to the girl playing the DA Joyce Reilly. When there aren't enough swings and whoever is playing Leilani is out they give it to her and she just says "Elle and Warner were meant to be, cause not once ever has he hit on me". Maybe they did that?
Oh no. Was Coleen really that bad? According to the blog she was at the doctor, but I was fearing of her as Brooke. I really wish she was Vivienne! But regardless, I will still be a huge Coleen Sexton fan anyday. I was wondering how she would do with all the jump roping/etc. It doesn't seem like her! Lucy & Elphaba! (Shh about Chicago!).
I hope someone can give us a full review noting all the changes soon .
