Posted: 1/19/07 at 4:42pmI was just on their website and they have such crap playing..... the new shows opening are "Billy W.and Dr. Dubois," "Gazilion Bubble Show," and now "Sealed for Freshness"...it is a tuperware comedy. Honestly who selects this crap? I wish ABZ would transfer out to another theater.

No one selects the shows that go into the New World Stages. Producers pay and rent the theatres inside the building. Its a great little space.
I am actually working on the upcoming Bill W and Dr Bob and its a great play. Maybe you should read up before you make a general statement because the show has not even opened yet.

Posted: 1/19/07 at 6:23pmThey have 2 hits playing there (Altar Boyz, NBS) and another show that is doing very well (Evil Dead). Before those open who would have imagined that they would do so well? How do you find out how good your show is, until its produced.

EVIL DEAD is *fantastic* as is ALTAR BOYZ.
NAKED BOYS SINGING! is a ton of fun as well.

Posted: 1/20/07 at 12:10amNew World is like a revolving door. There will always be space. They have 5 full theatres, and if Im not mistaken another small performance space or two for readings, rehearsals and such.

Posted: 1/20/07 at 12:13amPlus NAKED BOYS only plays Fridays and Saturdays at odd times (like 6:00 and 10:30). Their theatre is used for another show during the week and at regular show times on the weekends.
