I think most of those wonderful actresses are too old.
I think she should be in her late twenties or early thirties, so I'm thinkin' Menzel or Murney or even Espinoza (maybe too young).
Morticia is ageless.
also do you really think Donna or Bebe would sign on for the Addams Family? Not that I wish they wouldn't or that they wouldn't be amazing but just trying to be realistic here I think we would be a bit more on track with someone like Murney or Kaitlin Hopkins.

However, given it's Lippa, it'll probably be Julia Murney or Idina Menzel.
What else has he done with them besides The Wild Party?
I think that Marc Shaiman should be composing this, but that is just me...

As opposed to what... going back into Chicago again?

I love when people consider a certain performer their "obsession" and yet can't spell her name. Kaitlin Hopkins. Not Caitlin.
Kaitlin would be brilliant, as would, as I said earlier, Beth Leavel. I think Bebe would be too dry.
My choices:
-Kaitlin Hopkins
-Julia Murney
-Eden Espinosa
or....
-ME
You do have the look for it Brian.

Brian, when I saw you had posted, I knew it was going to say something along those lines.
I think that they should hold a reality TV show for it. I can't tell you how thrilled I was/am about YTOTIW & Grease.
On the record the above post was a joke. I'm off to bed now.

Julia Murney would be perfect in the role!

I really could see Brian as Morticia...
Julia Murney definitely has the face/look for Morticia.
I could see Bebe Neuwirth also.
I adore Murney's talent and voice
but Morticia has to be a Beauty
dark eyes
and great lips
look at the drawings
Idina fits it better
I think

Donna and Bebe are great suggestions, but I'm going to have to put Jan Maxwell ahead of them. She made me pee in Chitty. I never got sick of watching her.
JULIA MURNEY!!!!!!!! Have you heard her vibratto in WICKED? ...It would be really neat!
Well, I made the comment about Julia Murney being the most obvious choice given that it's Lippa because they have a professional relationship. As someone mentioned, he produced her album and gave her a song to record, apart from the obvious WILD PARTY connection.
It must be Bebe. I agree with Smaxie, why wouldn't she be part of this project? She's ideal.

Morticia - Julia Murney (it is an Andrew Lippa show after all)
Gomez - Raul Esparza
Fester - Kevin Chamberlin
Grandmother - Carol Kane
Eden Espinosa or Julia Murney are the first two names that popped into my head when I saw this...
Jan Maxwell
how about Idina Menzel she has the Voice for a part like that
Does no one like Ute Lemper?
