Whoopi in Xanadu?

Last night News 12 Long Island ran a blurb in the information bar that is at the bottom of their screen during newscasts. It said that Whoopie was going into XANADU. No other information was given.

I thought BWW would be abuzz with this story, but I can't find even a mention of it.

What gives?

Apparently it's part of her campaign to land the lead in the Dolly! Revival.

On internet boards, it's "Whoppi" more often than not.

Hi all. I'm new on this board and I actually haven't seen a show since I saw CATS when I was a kid. I'd like to go to xanadu and I like the idea of stage seating because I heard it's a great experience. But I noticed that ticketmaster isn't selling tickets for xanadu past July 27. I also hear that whoopi goldberg is coming on the show around that time. Will they increase prices by alot when she comes to the show? Is there any way i can buy tickets for august now? Thanks for any help. Oh and i'm taking someone else and I was wondering if for the other persons FIRST ever broadway show if you'd recommend on stage seating for XANADU or very nice audience seating for a regular non-musical play?
