Why Is The "End of the Rainbow" Marquee Back Up?

Just curious. I walked by today and saw it was up instead of Golden Boy.

could the recent construction around the theater have something to do with it, maybe they never took it down before construction started?

MAYBE SMASH IS FILMING AGAIN AND THEY WANTED TO DO A SCENE INVOLVING JUDY GARLAND AND IVY AND THEN THEY WALKED BY THE THEATRE AND DEREK TOLD HER SHE'S JUST AS GOOD AS JUDY BUT THEY NEEDED THE SIGN BACK UP SO THAT IT WOULD MAKE SENSE OMG MAYBE!!!!

I'd like to ask the same question about the "Jekyll and Hyde" marquee at the Marquis Theatre. What's up with that? I'm tired, I just got back. I'm taking a nap.

The Jekyll & Hyde marquee just never got taken down, as far as I know. The giant mural in the Marriott breezeway is still there as well.

marquees arent taken down til someone pays to have them changed, usually the producers of the incoming show.

I'm sure it was just underneath the Golden Boy marquee and they took that one down...

Hands on a Hardbody and Scandalous are both still up as well. It cost the producers money to take everything down, so sometimes they just wait for the next show to come in and replace everything.

People. I know they usually leave marquees up.

However, Golden Boy was the most recent marquee to be at the Belasco. It closed this past fall. Does it not seem odd to take down the Golden Boy marquee only to put the End of the Rainbow marquee back up? It wasn't hiding behind the Golden Boy marquee as they are back lit and it would just be too messy looking and cheap.

AGAIN! IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION THAT ONE OF THE MARQUEES WAS OBSTRUCTED FROM VIEW AND THEY WERENT ABLE TO TAKE THE END OF THE RAINBOW MARQUEE DOWN BEFORE THEY PUT UP THE CONSTRUCTION STUFF!
