How come during the mtv taping of legally blonde, when pilar says "honey so nice to see you" right before what you want, everyone started laughing? DId i miss something?

I don't remember this, and I can't imagine what was so funny about it.

Before the show, they taped a bunch of audience reaction shots. "Gasp like Elle just showed up in the bunny costume!" "Laugh like you just heard the funniest thing in the world!" That kind of thing. So maybe the editors thought there should be a laugh there and stuck one in. Who knows?

That line's MEANT to be funny. If you didn't laugh then you have problems.
It's not about the line itself, but about the delivery and timing, and the sillyness of it.

A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

The laugh was correctly placed and appropriate.

But the audience was not laughing at Pilar's line...

Elle was at the top of the staircase while the Delta Nus were below bickering.

The funny line was was just AFTER Elle says, "Do we all have to descend into madness?..

Elle starts saying to the girls below as they are scurrying off stage, "Snap it out... Snap it out... Snap it out.

I found it pretty funny and cute.

Pilar's line was just rushed into Elle's.

How funny that dramarama2 thought that it was Pilar's line that was supposed to be funny and that others have problems for not finding it funny!
