Some friends who saw the last performance told me they added a second intermission (right around when one of the characters vomits in the trophy). Does anyone know why, considering this was a show that really didnt need a first intermission to begin with?
So all the old men in the audience with inflamed prostates and incontinence can go relieve themselves.
Oh, and so all the young people who are bored have another opportunity to leave.
It was written to be performed in three acts. They probably figured out during the run that it works better that way.
So they can let more people leave.
I saw this on Tuesday and there was only 1 intermission.

For the same reason you used a period instead of a question mark.
