Why don't more people use the chat room?

Hi there. Another member showed me the chat room feature. For some reason I never noticed it. So anyways, I keep checking it all day yesterday and hardly anyone was in it. Just wondering if people use it...

If there were more people in the room.... that's were I'd spend most of my time when I get on this site. I take it back...if there were ANY people in the room ....

I think it’s just a matter of people going in at different times and missing each other. No coordination, so to speak. In the past, someone would post a message on the board saying, “Come chat at 10:00 PM EST” or something similar. This worked pretty well. I have had lots of fun when folks have been in there.

In fact, I’ll post a message for TONIGHT!

I asked the same question a while ago, people told me that it doesn't work for a lot of people. I guess it depends on your internet service.
But most people just use the threads as chatrooms.

In the good old days, before TV and cell phones, the chat room was used often (ok, last summer.) There was often a group of 8-10 people in there most nights. You learn more about people in one night than months of posting. Then it just stopped happening, for no particular reason, and has never recovered.

Adam, thanks for helping to get that group together in the chat room yesterday afternoon, it was lots of fun........:) makes it seem much more like you are with "real" people when u chat back and forth in the chatroom...........Thanks for prompting us there..........It is a delight having you at this site. :)

OT Board = Chat room. For me, at least.
