There was a time when the BWW Chat Room was populated by adults and was a fun, late night, place to chat. Then the BroadwayKids took over, and soon there were 11 year olds pretending to be over 21. The Chat Room was further ruined by some folks appearing solely for the purpose of fighting with certain other members in the room.
While it was fun to talk live with other members, the idea of the kiddies joining in on adult topics of conversation gave this adult the creeps, so I bailed, never to return. To the delight of many of the BroadwayKids, I might add. 
I, for one, don't miss it, given the type of crowd it generally draws.
The Chat Room site itself was not functioning for a while, and people fell away as a result, too.

Usually people don't go because
A) It's much easier to have conversations via AIM.
B) They don't know it exists.
