Wildcat,I agree I think that it's more imoportant to base opinion on conversational skills and intellect. I have had some fantastic conversations with 15/16 years olds, as well as people closer to my age.. Provided the subject matter isn't inappropriate does it really matter?
hmmm...I wonder what's going on under that dog?? poor bugga!
I agree, I'd like to read more about who we are.
And I look like nothing like the guy on the right!
(I'm more of a 'guy on the left' kinda guy)
Why should the age of a poster make you pass a judgement on what they post? One of the reasons message boards are so popular is because people aren't judged by their apparences but by the maturity of the content they write.
Mind you, the spelling thing is a bit of a giveaway....
Exactly Star2b.. It's all part of the annonymity.. And it's nice because you are less likely to be judged based on age appearance etc..
Or boobs, right, cam?
Well.. I'm ok with being judged by my boobs.. At the risk of sounding egotistical they are pretty nice.. However it is nice to be regarded as more than just a set of big boobs in a low cut top..
When I was younger, I would have said age doesn't matter, but know that I'm pushing almost 30, it just feels different. Sometimes its hard to jump into a conversation 'blindly'. I like to know what our common ground is.
I think playing the "game" of figuring out what type of person you are talking to can be hard work and at the end, may be disappointing. "May", being the keyword.
It doesn't mean "minors" don't have anything good to say, if anything, they add a fresh perspective.

Oh...
Oh What? Rath..
"Oh" to what you said...
haha.. I guess I'm just used to people staring at them.. I gave up trying to hide them beneath baggy clothes.. They are nothing sepctacular they are just large..
I must admit I was reluctant to disclose my age here for a bit... everyone "seemed" so young... but sometimes I "feel" young. I don't want to be "ignored" by the young'uns 'cause I'm too old and out touch, so I try not to dismiss them either.
No what Scotty??
ElTico, I make no secret of my age here, and some of the people I have the most fun and the best discussions with are quite a bit younger than I, and they know it. Right, cammie?
was just making a mochery of the 'oh...' conversation!
Precisely Rath.. However I'm not as young as some people think I am.
I'm old enough to do it, young enough not to know better!!
**likes that philosophy**
Eltico, if you don't want to say your exact age I think a tasteful way around it is by posting, "I'm legal"....'cause thats classy.
CTurtle-- you look exactly like your icon? Oh, dear... There can't be two Rupert Graves' in the world!! Don't tease!
I like letting people know where I'm coming from when I post an opinion. To that end, a profile can help offer a bit of background and introduction. And the avatars and icons are cute.
Nice Scotty.. I figured as much..
I like the anonmity, I guess. I mean, when I PM people, I sign my PM's with my first name, and most people on this board do in fact know my age. I'm not ashamed of how young I am, but I don't feel it necessary to wave about a red flag saying that I'm younger than a lot of people around here. It's been an amazing experience for people to accept me and to value what I say without a preliminary judgement just based on my age. I don't really feel it necessary to post personal information in my profile for people to look up and judge me based on what they see. Chat with me if you want to get to know me. I don't bite.
That said, funny avatar story - I had Raul Esparza once, in a scene from The Normal Heart. I got a bunch of PM's wondering if that was me, and telling me how hot I was.
Yes, I am in fact one of those stunning men in my avatar....
gee. You look alot like adam pascall!

*gasp!*
Maybe I *am* Adam Pascal. I do an awful lot of self-shilling, then, don't I?
... for the record, I'm a girl... making those comments about the Raul icon all the more comical. :-P
