I'm sure all of you can't be sick of Wicked, so here is yet another question for those who aren't (like me)
I am going to see the show on tour in Tampa. The best they have available is like 21 rows back orhcestra or row b mezzanine...which do you guys think is better? When I saw it in NYC it was like 30 rows back and it was, ehh, ok. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You're right Popular! Any ticket is a good ticket! I believe I'm going more than once, so maybe I'll try both.
Here is the link to the theater...

I wish I could remember this theater...I haven't been there in years...What do you guys think of it compared to Gershwin, which I thought was huge! How many people does that hold?

Posted: 10/3/05 at 4:27pmCould be worse. The Fox Theatre in St Louis (where all the national tours play) seats about 4500. It's a huge, cavernous, acoustical nightmare with a stage that is disproportionately small compared to the space around it. If you aren't in the orchestra or lower balcony, there's no point in going.

Posted: 10/3/05 at 6:34pmTAKE THE ORCHESTRA!!!!!! I saw BIG RIVER from far back in the Morasani orchestra and it was great --- but the Mezzanine is SOO FAR from the stage it's sooo not worth it! (I really don't like how that theatre is built...)

Posted: 10/3/05 at 6:50pmThe mezzanine is the best place to sit in TBPAC. The sightlines are perfect, and it overhangs the orchestra so you'll be closer than if you take rear orchestra. I hate rear orchestra in that theatre because it makes me feel so far away. I have even had problems seeing from the front orchestra, due to some weird seat placement issues.

Posted: 10/3/05 at 9:21pmHey officially tickets haven't gone on sale yet. Usually what TPAC does is sell it's far seats before the official tickets go on sale. They officially go on sale Oct. 23rd. Once that happens the close seats will be available.

Posted: 10/3/05 at 9:42pmAre you sure OutForBlood? I'm pretty sure tickets don't go on sale to the public till the 23rd, but are already on sale to subscribers and groups. The sales people (3 different ones actually) said all of the first 15 rows are sold from these sales alone.

Posted: 10/3/05 at 11:51pmI got my tickets for Wicked in Tampa a few days ago and the person I talked to said the orchestra AND the mezz are sold out. TBPAC is HUGE, so I can just imagine that every night is gona be pretty close to sold out. YAH for Wicked coming to Tampa.

OutForBlood, are you sure? That doesn't seem fair to the season ticket holders and subscribers.
I checked my other tickets (I'm going to two Saturday matinee's). Feb. 4th it's Row T. So, it should be interesting seeing it from the two different perspectives.

Alright guys, got my tickets and became a member.
I got box for one performance and back floor for another. I think I am going to try for a single ticket on the public on sale, hopefully I can get close this way...
Yay for Wicked in Tampa!!!
