Wicked performance on Today Show this morning

Did everyone see the cast perform "One Short Day" just now? It was a woman's dream to be on Broadway so the Today show got her into Wicked for a night. And Shoshana looked amazing in green (as she always does).

Yes, really cool performance.. the wind factor made the sound a bit odd, but it was a nice dream come true for the woman!Katie mentioned that both Shoshana and JLT had been there before, I don't recall Wicked being on the NBC Today show? Am I senile?

The last time Wicked was featured, Idina and Kristin were there, and it was soon after the show opened. I don't know about Jen and Sho.

Idina: Somehow I got myself to the stage, came out at the end of the show, and I had some kind of closure.
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05

It was Jen and Shoshana, but it mainly focused on a woman from Utah who loved-loved-loved Wicked and her dream was to be a member of the ensemble so they Today show helped her realize that dream. She got to perform in "One Short Day".

(All that and I live in Cali - haven't even seen the show yet. Haha!)

Idina and Kristin didn't perform. It was Shoshana and JLT.

Also, Jennifer appeared on the show as Glinda. I'm unsure if she performed or not, however, she was in full "bubble" costume to tell Katie that she would perform as "Galinda" in "Popular" for one performance. That is why Katie said that JLT had visited the show previously.

no. It was JLT as Glinda.

re: Wicked performance on Today Show this morning

That made me cry!

When Peter Pan was in town, I hooked up a good friend with Cathy Rigby. My friend, Kathy, is a huge fan of Cathy, and has wanted to meet her for years. They are the same age, height, etc. Cathy signed her picture frame containing pics of her own production of Peter Pan. She played Peter.

I LOVE to do things like that. Sure, it is exciting for me, but to see the smile on her face when she got to sit on the set and take pics...priceless.

Aw, that was really nice. Haha.
The performance looked so much tighter than when they performed at the Thanksgiving parade. Thanks for the link!

It was so good to see them perform. I love Sho and JLT!! re: Wicked performance on Today Show this morning They were awesome when I saw them live last month and sooo incredibly nice. It is, however, an akward song to perform on a small stage for TV, and it seemed like they were constantly pushing them out of the way just to focus on the woman. Obviously, it was meant to be about/for that woman but I wished they could have talked to the cast!! They should have asked Shoshana about what she's doing for some of the 5th grade kids at a school in Queens.
