My school choir and theater is going yo see Wicked on Broadway and I am fundrasing to go see it. It takes a lot of money to go on trips like this and I am having trouble and am not sure if I can go without help. This is Harry London Chocolate. Please go to this website if you wish to help.
http://www.centuryresources.com/
then click on the online store when the page opens and then where it says Enter School Order Number type 192466 where it says name say Rebecca and then where it says grade put 11
THIS IS A FUND-RAISER NOT DONATIONS! I am selling Harry London Chocolates! Please stop posting about donations. I am not asking for free money I am asking you to purches something and they will ship it to you. I am sorry for the confusion.
If you do this I will be able to go to NYC with my schools theater club. Sorry for out of country friends.. they dont ship out of the US. *sigh* Thank You Soooo much! I have been working and I am half way there. We are going in April. Its 500 dollers to go so far I have about 200 in there.

Posted: 1/13/05 at 6:44pmdude, no one is gonna send you money so YOU can see wicked. ur in school, ask your parents. do extra chores. use your bank account. for god sakes, use your college money! come on...borrowing money from your friends is better than this. dont try to take theater-lovers for granted. i am seeing wicked with MY school, and its a total of like 100 dollars. get your lawn mower out and ur little neighbors ready to be sat!

You are asking people to DONATE MONEY so you and a bunch of your friends can go see Wicked??
Okay. Now that just made my night.
In a good and in a not so good way.

I think it's "kids, I don't know what's wrong with these kids today," not, "kids what is wrong this these kids today"

Yeah and while you're at it you can pay for my $85 choir costume, $200 choir competition trip, $100 school trip to see Chitty chitty bang bang (not that I really want to see it, heard it wasn't that great), $60 to see some spanish play, and another $50 for good luck.
Are you seriously asking for donations?!

You're right.
Bye Bye Birdie is admitingly not my area of expertise.

You have got to be kidding. You're asking for donations from a message board? Are you insane? Okay, now BroadwayWorld, here are my expenses for you to pay for:
Washington trip-$500 (don't forget the spending money!)
Comedy theater-$50
Graduation robe-$200
Choir costume-$100

You know, while you guys are in a generous mood, my car insurance is a bit late. Just mail all donations to SafeCo Insurance and say it's from me. Thanks!
Seriously...if I had the $ to send someone ELSE to see a show...well, let's just say my @$$ would be in a Broadway seat right now and not in my hard-as-a-rock computer chair.

Posted: 1/13/05 at 10:18pmWell, I don't want to sound mean, but with the situation in Southeast Asia and California, anyone who has money to donate will donate it to aid the relief effort there, not to send some kids to see a Broadway show. No matter how big a fan of theatre they are.

Hey don't be so harsh.... Im raising money to go to broadway at the end of the year. But no one will help u for free. Im doing a lottery for an iPod and working part-time jobs. And if anyone I know needs a job to be done (even homework) I do it for some cash! People are not that generous but if u really really want to go, there must be something u can do other than just ask money from strangers.
And if there is a Theater Club there. WHY ON EARTH YOU DONT MAKE A LITTLE STREET SHOW OR WHATEVER AND CHARGE FOR THE TICKETS!!!! and raise money for ALL of you

What ever happened to car washes? Candy sales? Old-fashioned fund-raisers?

Posted: 1/13/05 at 11:06pmGee, so can I accept donations from everyone here to pay off my college tuition?
#21re: Wicked (school trip)
Posted: 1/13/05 at 11:09pmHey, if this is really an issue go to the teacher in charge and talk to them. My husband is a teacher, and his school has special funds available for kids who cant afford to go on school trips etc. Your parents may have to provide some financial info. With " NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND", I dont think you can be left out of a school function due to poverty.

Posted: 1/13/05 at 11:30pmThe title "WICKED" does scare off those who are a bit shallow. I had a parent tell me that she was a Christian, and her children would never be permitted to see anything called "WICKED"

sorry, but people like that piss me off. Learn about the show. I missed some of the best shows I've ever seen at first because of stupid people not knowing what they were talking about... >
. But hey....if you want to send me money to help get them fired.......
