Why is the song The Wicked Witch of the East not on the cast recording?
"Let the little girl go, and that poor little dog? Dodo." That's my favorite line in the whole show (Wicked). My next favorite line is "Oh! It seems the artichoke is steamed."

It is sad that the song isn't on the OBCR because that's Michelle Federer's one song where she's the main vocalist.
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
I love that song and I think that Michelle Federer is awsome. They should have put it on the OBC recording

Brandonm, I totally agree with you! I love the "complete" Miss Saigon recording (although I wasn't thrilled with the cast) b/c it told the whole story. Maybe Wicked will do the same.
Those are called "highlights" and many sung-through shows have them as an alternative to buying the entire score-- Phantom, Les Mis, Sweeney, Miss Saigon, Rent.
"I think Harvey [Fierstein] wishes he were a black woman. I say he's the largest black woman in the show. I wish Harvey were straight, cuz I'd do him in a minute. I like big burly mother f***ers like him." ~Mary Bond Davis on Harvey Fierstein Thanks to Mistress @ spouzic.com
