I'm going with my school advisory to NY in Feb, and I was planning on catching LA CAGE and TWELVE ANGRY MEN then.
But I think I'll try to catch LA CAGE this time around, instead.

12 ANGRY MEN was brilliant, also. I'm glad you're going to get a chance to see them both.

Priest, you absolutely must see La Cage!
AsLongAsYou'reMine, "on topic" isn't really in this board's vocabulary.
I am just so damn excited. I haven't been to NY in over a year, and now I get to go twice in three months.
which brings up a good question:
im going 2 ny for a week in january...aside from wicked (and hairspray, im already seeing that too), what shows should i def NOT miss???
as for wicked stuff...im a huge fan too, does anybody know how (in the very distant future) one might go about auditioning for wicked? at all?

This spring, I will actually get to do what I want, when I want, and anything I want. There will not be school rules involved, as well as no charter bus. Just my dad and I. Did I mention that I will get to be there for more than a weekend?
LILELPHABA
did you send her mine?
Go see PACIFIC OVERTURES if you want some real theatre.
And don't worry about auditioning, WICKED won't be around in the near future, God willing.

I would much rather wait and see the national tour of Wicked.
Only, and I mean only, if George Hearn is in it.
Which he won't be.

"wicked wont be around in the near future"
umm you might not be a fan of the show but you cant deny its success. they're saying it may be around for 5-10 years, so you might as well hold off your prayers

I'm new at this whole thing but holy crap, can't we all just get along? I mean... I like Wicked, sure! But that doesn't mean I'm this immature little kid who just likes Wicked because it's the only show I know. I think it's a good thing that a show is introducing so many people to the theatre. Once you experience a Broadway show, you always have a place for the theatre in your heart. ha. That was so cheesy. Cheesy truth tho.

I don't think the whole "I'm this immature little kid who just likes Wicked because it's the only show I know" thing is true. I have been in many shows and know plenty of them and I still of love Wicked. I don't think you should stereotype like that..

No wonder Wicked fans are hated here...
AsLongAsYou'reMine- This board is for discussion, not to let everyone know that you are obsessed with something. Also, which ever one came first, after posting Wicked Fans, why would you go on to make Idina Menzel Fan's? You might want to run away now. But then again it looks like you already have...
To everyone else---I apologize for this person. Please don't assume that everyone who loves Wicked is immature and stupid, and please don't use your spite for her stupidity and hate Wicked even more. Thank you
My friends gave me the CD of Wicked for my birthday and I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT IS MY LIFE!!!! Of course, by the time I was given the CD I had already borrowed it from my other friend and refused to give it back for about two weeks so I already knew all the music. If I dont listen to Wicked at least twice a day I dunno what would happen.
But I know about forty shows and am NOT an immature little kid who likes wicked cuz its the only thing I know. I also LOVE RENT, LesMiz, Phantom, Once on this Island, Fiddler, Evita etc. etc. etc.
