Wicked Gala performance live on BBC 2 (England)

There is a gala performance of Wicked to be performed live and distributed on BBC2.

The OBC has also been re-issued with the London Artwork on the cover.

I'm not so sure it will be on BBC2 TV but it seems more likely it will be BBC Radio 2. I'd be surprised if they had a TV version so early in the run - there might be excerpts on the Children in Need event tho'....

I don't see anywhere in the article where it says that the show is going to be either shown on television or broadcast on the radio. all it says is that Sir Terry Wogan and BBC Radio 2 are to host a Gala Charity performance at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. I'm assuming it's kinda like the charity performances on Broadway that benefit the Actor's Fund.

They will most likely show some clips from the show on the actual children in need show. They always have performances from the latest shows. Last year it was Mary Poppins I think

It is going to be played on the radio. That's what the e-mail from the Wicked London website says.

Yes, don't get your hopes up.

It is NOT going to be broadcast on BBC2 Radio.
It's just a benefit HOSTED by them.

While there have been live broadcasts of London shows on BBC2 before, like "The History Boys," "Sunset Blvd," and "Sweeney Todd" -- this isn't one of them.

Perhaps when the show has been around for a year or two, they MIGHT think about doing it but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I wish they kept it the same, and it could be one of those awesome ones, Phantom, Cats, Miss Saigon etc
