Don't hold your breath. They don't have the money to record the show again AND hire the people to go in and actually make it sound like Idina is singing on pitch.

I just wanted to hear some other takes on the role, and maybe this time they're record more of the music. My favorite part of the show is the classroom freak out with the lion, I love the music and dancing, but I know they won't ever record that.

Let's pretend that all shows are sold out - which to the most part they are - there are currently four produtions running and the Apollo Voc holds around 2,000 something...
A lot of cash...sure they could afford to do it but what's the point when they can still make money out of the one recording?
I really want one with Kerry though.

yay for Wicked. And just like Margo said, there are others who have gone platinum.
Oh and for everyone's information RENT is the best selling cast recording of all time.
Now all I see are cute boys with short haircuts in a maze of their own...
