Anyone done wicked rush lately? How is it, what are the chances at getting seats during march 10-15?

Scores of people still show up regularly, even in the winter. It's truly hit or miss.
It's lottery, not rush. But yeah, even on the crazy cold days when it was single digits, there were way more people than tickets. And March is kind of in the middle of rolling spring breaks, so... It's going to be crowded.

Yeah, but it is lottery, so you if you try it, you don't need to get there early, since that won't give you any advantage over the people who enter their names ten minutes before they announce the winners.
Right. I was just saying it's still crowded.
I searched the message boards so no one would yell at me for useless posts....
Has anyone done the Wicked Rush lately? My partner and I are going to try and do it for Friday Night.... Is it really tough?
Are they front front row? And are they good seats? I mean really for 20 bucks I guess it does not matter seeing as you get to see Wicked right? But I thought I would ask...
It's like 26.50- front row, amazing seats
and that's why it's almost a miracle if you do win.
well if two of us are there it is a little better right?
Is it usually like millions of people lined up or just dozens....
Two will increase your chances slightly. It's generally well over 100 people who show up.
well maybe the gods will smile on my partner and I seeing as it is his Actual birthday that day....
I'll keep my fingers crossed. If I was going to be in town, I'd come and help you out, but I'll be in DC seeing Alice and Emily!! :)
Good luck and happy birthday to your partner! :)
well I'm going thursday night so atleast we won't be in competition with each other! good luck though! :]
funny... i live in Washington DC... and will be going to NY.
I tried to get tickets to Alice and Emily but alas... no avail.
I did get tickets to see The Little Mermaid (that was his #1 choice) and Wicked is his #2)
Very ironic! We can wave at each other on the road. Actually one of my friends called yesterday and managed to get a cancellation ticket, so we've been completely freaking out since then. :)
SOOOO very excited!!
I hope y'all have a GREAT time in NYC!!
What time is the lotto? I'm going in July and don't wanna buy full price
yeah what time is the lotto for the 8pm show?
and if i lose out... and decide to go on sunday... what time then?
Lotto times:
for a 7pm shoe, they start taking names @ 4:40 and draw at 5
for an 8pm show, they start taking names @ 5:30 and draw at 6
for a 2pm show, they start taking names @ 11:30 and draw at 12
For a 3pm show, they start taking names @ 12:30 and draw at 1
You're welcome! :)

What about Saturdays in early June?
(Mat)
Are they still crowded?
Do they often have tickets to buy at the box office early that morning?
From what I gather, the Wicked lottery is ALWAYS busy. Always. Even when it's crappy freezing cold weather. Even when it's boiling hot weather.
As far as day of, the only things besides lottery I know of are cancellation tickets at full price.
Yeah Wicked's like always at 100% on grosses.
basically seconding what jordalgirl said
Anyone know what time I have to be there to put my name in the hat... and when they pick so if we don't get seats we can see if they have anything at tdf?
