Wicked Tour Trailer- Amazing quality!!1

Posted: 7/10/05 at 4:29pm

If you go here https://www.wickedthemusical.com/chicago/ and click on the "view tralier" thing, it has all these clips from the tour and little interview segments with Carol Kane, Kendra Kassebaum, and Stephanie J. Block as well as some producers and stuff. And the clips from the tour are AMAZING. up close and so clear and great sound. It only works when you click on the trailer thing on the chicago site though. Just thought some people would like to knowWicked Tour Trailer- Amazing quality!!1

On the Broadway Wicked site when you click on the trailor it says performing maintenance, I wonder if that means a new broadway trailor!

It's too bad they didn't make a DVD of Wicked with those clips. I love the camera angles on it.

I find it funny they're using Kristin and Idina's voice for One Short Day...

Is it just me, or are they trying ot make the show look better than it actually is?

(And this comes from someone who LIKES the show)
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Haha, course not. But it sets up for disappointment.

The trailer was AMAZING but a lot of that has to do with the cinematography. They re-staged many things for the trailer, and it's not how it is on stage.

The Trailer was cool. I never thought Wicked would work as a movie musical, but I can sorta see it now. However, I don't like Stephanie's version of "Defying Gravity" its way too theatrical and her voice is so deep. I dunno, i guess i'm just use to the recording and hearing Idina's "popish" voice on it.

Is it weird that I want to see it a little less now?

That was cool seeing that...but the camera angles make it out to be something it's not. It looks like they're going for a movie or something..

I can't wait to see the show this Thursday! re: Wicked Tour Trailer- Amazing quality!!1 Yes, after a little over a year of waiting to see Wicked, the week has finally come. A couple friends saw the tour with both Kendra and Stephanie on Friday night and they said that they were both blown away and in awe.

I never noticed the dance Elphaba and The Wiz do. I think it's the "off to see the wizard" dance.

Maybe I did notice it before but forgot...whichever, I love revisiting things and finding new details.

I think I heard they added it for the tour at the end of the song "Wonderful". I only saw the tour though, so I'm not positive it wasn't in the Broadway one.

The dance may ahve been in the roginal though i saw it over a year and a half ago, it was definately in the George Hearn version, and it is currently in the Ben Vereen version. They aren't doing the yellow brick road, it's jsut the turn that they captured, they do a waltz like dance.....wow i was in D.R.S. mode and was gonna say "dince."
