777 - let me get this straight. You're actually talking about standbys in Wicked and which standby you like better and that you've seen standby Katie 14 times and you can't understand why the audience last Saturday night didn't applaud or laugh at all the new things Katie added and you didn't even say how much the audience you were sitting with forked over for a Saturday night ticket ? and didn't even get to see the current leads (whoever THEY are).
I saw Wicked one time. With Kristin and Idina. Boy - do I feel cheated. Just out of curiosity - how many times have you walked into the Gershwin to see this show??
redmustang, I'd answer you but I have no clue what the heck you are saying or even asking me. Also it's not really any of your business how many time I saw it.
Don't believe everything that you hear! Only the peeps involved know the truth!
i mean no disrespect to jackie, but donna is AMAZING as elphaba. when i saw her on tour, her voice sounded full and polished and she could handle the score like a pro. so why is she standby?
Yes, Donna is pulling a Lisa Brescia :p Her name will not appear in the playbill at all, but a slip will go in with her headshot and bio whenever she is on. According to her, this is something that all Broadway standbys have the option of doing.
There is no stand by for Elphaba listed in the playbill at all; Kate Fahrner is listed as stand by for Glinda, and that's the only stand by listed in the playbill.
