BodyGuard Musical with Heather Headley!! Brilliant!!

^i dont think any form of the score has been released. but since some of the music from the movie will be in the score i can see how rose would struggle with it. especially "queen of the night." i feel heather will do the songs we know justice like nobody's business.
BodyGuard Musical with Heather Headley!! Brilliant!!

absolutely no complaints. i pray to God this is done well and transfers to broadway!
Brilliant Missed Casting Opportunities

Patti Lupone and Julie Andrews as Elphaba and Glinda
Wicked gets

i dont get this.

i mean no disrespect to jackie, but donna is AMAZING as elphaba. when i saw her on tour, her voice sounded full and polished and she could handle the score like a pro. so why is she standby?

New Stars in WICKED

i saw donna and chandra. i wish is was them two again, but jackie is also very wonderful (according to what ive seen on youtube :P)
Into the Woods- Regent's Park Discussion Thread

Dream Next To Normal Cast

While I love Julia Murney, I think Heidi Blickenstaff would be the best Diana
PERFECT Casting Game

with vocal rest and about 15 years, i think alice could be mama rose

reeve carney?

Unpopular opinions you hold

from reading everything about sister act, i do enjoy it...but i wish the score would have revolved from the soundtrack to the movie...i think it is the music in the movie that made it so enjoyable and taking it away left an empty feeling
Best National Touring Company

I have to agree with Donna Vivino in the 1st national tour of Wicked
Unpopular opinions you hold

-I happen to love Lea Michele. I think she is phenomenal
-I don't know if I hated Avenue Q or Hairspray more (and Avenue Q didn't deserve all the Tonys...that should have been Caroline's year)
-I'm completely annoyed by musicals with drag queens (Priscilla, La Cage, and Taboo to be exact)
-I think Into the Woods is Sondheim's best work and I think the Regent's Revival with Hannah Waddingham is far superior to any other productions (and it should transfer to broadway)

Bad audience behavior witnessed in NYC on my recent trip

went to the N2N tour about a month ago. someone's phone decided to go off during "Maybe" and both Emma and Alice looked in the way of the ringtone. i thought Alice was going to pull a LuPone with the look on her face.
PERFECT Casting Game

I think Teresa Stratas would be a great Big Edie in Grey Gardens

LaChanze?

Favorite performance from any broadway musical

I would have to say one of my favorite performances was Ashley Brown as Mary Poppins.

On a side note, I saw the N2N tour and I thought Emma Hunton's performance not only out shined Alice, but was probably the best performance I have seen in person.

PERFECT Casting Game

Molina as Michael in God of Carnage

Stephanie J Block? (if she hasn't been done yet?)

PERFECT Casting Game

Toni as Diane in The Little Dog Laughed

Marc Kudisch?

PERFECT Casting Game

Frances as Katherine in 33 Variations

Julia Murney?

PERFECT Casting Game

Nicole as Judy in 9 to 5

Donna Vivino?

ROCK OF AGES transforms from stage to screen

I do not really have an opinion as to if it's better or worse to keep to the stage adaptation. However, if a show is popular enough to make a sustainable movie, then the production it is based off of must have some importance to the movie and its staging.

Then again, it depends on directors, casting, and movie scripts as well. There are some movies supposedly being made that if they are based off of the original production, I see them being complete disasters (not naming names...sprin

PERFECT Casting Game

Beth as the Baker's Wife in Into the Woods

Raul Esparza?
