I'm always reading about lottos for Wicked at other tour stops...is there going to be a lottery in Boston? I don't recall the Opera House doing lottos for the shows I've seen, but I'm new to Boston and it seems that most other tour stops are doing it.

Well, yeah, but I was just wondering about Boston since I never heard the Opera House did rush, but then again, I'm relatively new here.

I'd imagine they would. They haven't announced it yet, but I'd assume they will.

Just out of interest, has there been a stop on the Wicked tour yet that didn't do lotto?

the Opera House does student rush tickets. I saw Les Mis there and it is the most beautiful theatre I have ever been to and I have been to quite many. It's worth going to if just for the theatre re: Wicked in Boston
Seeing Wicked there would be awesome

Wicked won't be having student rush. I'm actually surprised Les Mis did.

And I love the theater too re: Wicked in Boston

I heard that Washington DC did not do lotto. But, Popular would know for sure.

Yeah they didn't have a lotto for DC and it sold out pretty fast. I wouldn't expect a huge city like Boston to do it either.

I bought my ticket at the theatre last month and they said no when I asked about lotto...but that might change when it gets closer.

According to the Broadway in Boston program, Wicked will not be having student rush. It's too popular a show, so why would those mean evil people sell a few select tickets for $25 to us poor college students when they could make 3 or 4 times as much for those tickets just because it is in high demand? I bought tickets in the mezz, row I, but all the way on the right, for $30...I saw the view from there and it doesn't seem that bad, so the best bet I guess for students is to try the side mezz, somewhere in the front or middle.

I'm suprised Les Mis student rush was unavailable. I was completely unaware that the tour was doing this well. re: Wicked in Boston

They had rush when Phantom was at the opera house last year.

I bought group tickets for sometime in April. I'll ask if we have anymore, if you're interested.

Phantess, what group did you exactly buy for? And how much do group tickets cost? And where are the seats? Lol, so many questions. But I also go to BU I think I even facebooked you.

Youwantitwhen??? You're correct, no lotto for DC. Not sure about Boston... I'm not sure how much I'll be following the tour after next week but if I read about a Boston lotto I'll try to remember to post about it, K?

According to the woman at the box office, they're doing it.

Idina: Somehow I got myself to the stage, came out at the end of the show, and I had some kind of closure.
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05

There wasn't a lotto in Dallas either.

Megan, when did you ask? (I asked at the end of January, so I'd love updated news.)

Just a bunch of friends of mine bought like 35 group tickets. I believe they are $33 for mezz seats. The girl with the tickets has one ticket left for April 23 at 7:30. Basically anyone who can get her the money the first gets the ticket.

If you PM me I'll tell you her name so you can contact her.
