Good news for me...esp. b/c I live right next door to the TPAC! :)
Seeing it on the 28th at 2:00 pm (the same time and date of Gasparilla.) Anyone living in Tampa knows it will be crazy trying to get to TBPAC during Gasparilla. Oh well, the best tickets were available for this date.

Oooh, that was a smart move on your part!! *dreads the craziness of Gasparilla* I should have done that...not that they would have let me request off of work. I work at a Walgreens that is right next to Bayshore and it's always overrun for the 'holiday.' I wish we got time and a half!! Smart, smart you!!! :)
MY perk is that I'm staying at a residence hall that is most likely going to host the cast part and I begged the manager to invite me....*crosses fingers*!!
Oh god Baine, I know exactly where that Walgreens is. It must be CRAZY on Gasparilla. Good luck trying to get into the cast party! : )
LOL! You've probably seen me at some point then! Small, small world.
And yeah...it's so crazy that we have to close the bathrooms down. My first year working Gasparilla, a woman was so drunk that she thought our broom closet was a bathroom and found the mop bucket and...you know. Because of that, we shut the bathroom completely last year and I assume we'll do the same again this year.
I REALLY don't want to work Gasparilla....but I went home for winter break and won't start back at work until next weekend so I can't get out of it! *groans*
Oooh, I hope! Being here has to have SOME sort of perk. Plus, if I get a job in the downstairs restaurant or something [therefore quitting my Walgreens hell], maybe I'll even be able to work the cast party and then I won't seem out of place. *muses*
All I have to say about that is... YES!! LOTTO!!
im seeing Wicked in Fort Lauderdale in Feb...and Bombay Dreams in Tampa in April at the Ruth Eckerd Hall...guys don't miss Bombay that actually needs the support of theatre lovers!
*bumping* cause it's their last day in DC today...
anyone not already posted in this thread going?

I'll be there on the 19th for the matinee.
Did you know that Wicked will be back in Tampa Feb. 21 - March 11, 2007? Tickets go on sale to Center members January 23 and to the general public February 6.
so ticked it's 100% sold out i'd love to do the lotto, but i'm from melbourne and driving 3 hrs and not getting in, would piss me off.
harris, have a plan B so that you don't make the drive for nothing and try early before word about the lotto spreads! I think it was in St. Louis where not enough people showed up to pick names and anyone who showed up "won" a lotto ticket. If you are one of the first to be in the cancellation line your chances are pretty good as well but be prepared to pay face value that way.
true, but hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Ya know, that actually happened to me in New York City.. On the 24th I saw Dirty Rotten Soundrals for $25 dollars! Like, nobody came to lotto and they had a few tickets left (my mom and I bought two lol). The only bad thing was Sherie Rene Scott and John Lithgow were absent.. but Nobert Leo Butz and Joanna Gleason were in the show lol
I'm angry...just lost the Chicago Wicked lottery for like, the 15th time in a row!!!!
DIE EVIL SCUM!! lol
Sorry, I needed some place to rant.
Perhaps someone going tonight can let the rest of us know how the lotto went for their first day.
Harris... if you're still thinking "hmmmmmm", dont wait too long to decide! :)
Ok, so I just read someone's review of today's matinee and they won the lottery. ONLY EIGHT PEOPLE SHOWED UP!!! That means all of them got in without a drawing.
GO NOW BEFORE THE WORD SPREADS!! (yes, I realize I'm spreading the word but if you're even just thinking of seeing the show in Tampa... just go!)
harris007, woot for melbourne! i'll be driving out to tampa next sunday with two friends who have yet to see the show to try lotto and hopefully it's the same kind of turn out as today with only 8 people.
Ewww, odd number is tricky. You may want to think about what you're going to do if only one of your names are called. Just saying, cause in that case one of you will be without a ticket. But then again, if two win (or even 3, I've seen it happen!)you'll make some people around you very happy. That's assuming that they have enough people to even draw names. I wish you luck.
well see, they both already have tickets i'm just the odd ball who waits until the last minute to buy tickets and then they're all sold out haha.
OK, that's much better odds then!
any word on how lotto has been lately in tampa?

Do the lottery...I did it last night 1/27 and there was like 40ish people there. That's a little bit more than I had expected but not too many people...And guess what...BOTH of my parents won last night and I was in the front row!!! AHHH!
Kendra was looking over at my friend and I a lot during the show too, lol. But she didn't come out of the stage door though. Neither did David, Carol, or Logan. That made me kind of upset mostly because I didn't get to see Kendra.
Stephanie said she saw us in the audience and I was like omg yesss!!!
It was a great show!
