Unsure if this link has already been posted. But watch, listen and weep. Next time you are at Wicked and some precocious brat starts trying to sing the songs at the intermission, much to the annoyance and offence of anyone with an ear for a good tune, remember this "version". And forcefeed them it!!
Ouch!

Yikes. One of the most horrible things I have seen in ages. Who on earth thought this would be a good idea. If there was even a whiff of talent then perhaps it might not be so bad but no - every "turn" is more appalling than the other.
That must be some sort of therapy for kids with behavioural issues in High Schools; they are forced to sit through that sort of thing until they become capable of integrating effectively in society
I couldn't finish watching it. Too painful!

What on earth was the choir director thinking? Honestly. That person deserves to be fired.

You'd think there would be at least one person in the group who could sing in tune.
Yea....you'd think...
I am scarred for life.

To be fair, the choreography was fresher than anything Wayne Cilento came up with.

I'm going to go shoot myself.
The sad part about it is that I have that girl as my friend on LiveJournal! (The one who uploaded the video)
Hi there! You know, I will agree it wasnt the best I have heard. At all. But lets cut em some slack. They are just kids. You know, they are probably just trying to get a fine arts credit! We dont know the cercumstances here. And I think that untill everyone has gotten up and sang that song (which I have done, all by myself infront of 300 people and some of the rudest kids I've ever met. It was for the talent show @ my school. I got third place) that we shouldn't all be so brutally honest. They are just kids after all. So, not tyring to be argumenative at all. Just saying.

Holy. God. My headache just got worse. I looked at the comments, and I loved the one that said: "Is this being used as blackmail or something?" Totally thinking the same thing.
While not too good sounding, it did look like they were having fun! I wish I got to do stuff like that in Middle School!

Yea.... that comment was me. I am a horrible human being and will probably go to hell for saying that.
And really, I don't think anyone here is blaming those girls for being horrible. That's not the point. I place the blame squarely on two people.
First, the girl who posted that dreadful video for all to lambast. Is she completely deaf?
And second, the choir director for A.) allowing them to go out and perform that song like that (if kids aren't up to snuff, you pull that song from the concert, you don't allow them to embarass themselves) B.) adding a Wicked song to the repertoire at all C.) Thinking feathered boas somehow were representative of the character.
LOL!! Colleen and elphie!
...I have no words.

That was HORRIBLE. Ack
No one should sing ANYTHING from Wicked ... PERIOD ... NOT EVEN for an audition. It's too new, you have to wait 10 years. You're not Idina singing Wizard and I, Joel Gray or Ben Vereen singing Wonderful .... and sure as hell not Kristen Chenoweth singing Popular. That duet For Good is the only exception when you are doing some kind of goodbye song. That's it! Ugh that annoys me. Especially something that bad... eek!
