"Exactly one year after "Wicked' left Chicago after an unprecedented, game-changing run of three-and-a-half years, 2.9 million audience members and over $200 million in Chicago ticket sales, the massively successful musical announced that it is coming back to what its producer calls "the show's favorite city."
According to producer David Stone, "Wicked" will return to Chicago for an eight-week run over the next holiday season at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W. Randolph St. The dates are Dec. 1 to Jan. 23. Tickets are not yet on sale. "
Haha. It'll be really strange to be sitting in the Palace and seeing Wicked. The whole time I'll be thinking to myself: "Shouldn't we be at the Oriental?"
Rant, Wickud, Rant, Wickud, Rant! We're not gonna pay Rant! 'Cause everythink is Wickud!

lakezurich will be played by Paul Groves in the BWW musical
Well, I hope we get something new in the Schubert. Billy Elliot will probably be settled into the Oriental for a lengthy run and with Wicked in the Palace, they need to bring something new into the Schubert for the holidays for all those who enjoy Broadway shows and have already seen both Wicked and Billy Elliot. We love seeing something new for Christmas each year.

Is it possible the San Francisco company will go there after it closes? There have been rumens about Wicked making extended stops in Toronto and New Orleans. Maybe SF would turn into the 3rd National Tour and serve that purpose.
