Wicked's Open Ended Chicago Run

Hey everyone,

I really want to see Wicked in Chicago, but I'm wondering if I should wait and see it in July or August when I can get better seats. I know there will be a new cast after mid june, and that's fine, but what about the set? Are they leaving the set there? Should I hurry and see it before June?

Thanks,

Adam

Yes, the sets from the tour will stay in Chicago. New sets will (or are) be constructed for the tour.

I just assume everyone's going to want to see both casts. I went by the box office this weekend to get in the lottery and was able to buy tickets for that day's performance-- they didn't have many, but it never hurts to swing by the Box office and ask.

Joe---how hard do you think it will be to win the lottery on Thursday? I have 4 names going in but I only need 2 tickets?

Do I have a good chance?

I would see it with both casts. How often does this happen in any city????

I loved the current cast. Stephanie, Carol, Kendra, and all are excellent!

So are they leaving the good set behind and the rest of the country is getting a watered down bus and truck set ala Hairspray?

When the new cast starts which is mid June. I think the tour ends on June 12, so probably June 20 for Ana.

kristy cates is Ana's standby
Grace: I just gave a quarter to a homeless man. I think it was Johnny Depp.

I know this would never happen, but I would love for them to make a recording. I'm so curious to hear how Ana sounds.
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I'm so excited to see the sitdown production! Unfortunately, I won't be in Chicago until after the tour leaves (So, I'll just have to wait to see steph, et al when the tour comes to DC), But I'm SO excited to see ana!!
awkward.

Whomever had the comment about the "watered-down set"---no.
this has been planned forever and there are at least 3 full sets that have been made. The one for the tour is being left in Chicago-but they already have an exact ready for the next state.

the stage manager told me while I was in NY *and if you don't believe me, feel free to search, I was the first person to post about the sit-down and Kristoffer being Fiyero, etc.*
