Some people were planning to fly in just for her performance - yikes.

Yeah, Idina fans are a bit on the crazy side. Some even bought tickets to multiple performances. I, thankfully, do not have enough disposable income to be that crazy.

How about they replace her with someone who is not a WICKED veteran. You know, like someone with a genuinely pretty voice.l

That really upset me, the news of Idina, especially because I am going to be working this summer at the powerhouse theater on one of the shows there, hoping to meet and work with Idina, but now, my dream has died. But Ill let you know how the show is, when we do it. I read your review of it, thats disappointing that its not good, well since its still in its workshop phase, it will change, hopefully what you didnt like about it.

I can understand their flying in to see her - if I had the money and it was someone I really loved, I'd do it. The yikes part for me is more that they already bought their tickets and now couldn't return them. THAT sucks.

Anyway, I'm also not thrilled with the idea of throwing the money away - and a performance is a performance, I don't usually regret even the worst ones I see. Not that I'm sure this one is going to be horrible, it's just going to lack one cast member that I was looking forward to seeing.

wow, this is the first i've heard about this show..
i would see it just for shanley and kreiger.. i love shanley's stuff.

people, people, people.. step out of the box and go see something new, not just stuff with the actors from wicked, okay.
hear my song; it was made for the time when you don't know where to go, listen to the song that i sing, you'll be fine..

Regardless of Idina, I'm keeping my season tickets to Powerhouse. I try to get them every year (even if I can't afford it) because 80% of what they do is amazing. Luckily I live only half an hour away, so it's easy to take advantage.

dq - I haven't even seen Wicked! This was going to be my first time seeing Idina since Rent like 11 years ago, lol

I dont know her replacement at all, but if she can sing, that's hopeful! Maybe they will work out some of the kinks since the workshop..
