I'm not overly familiar with the best with to get cancellation tickets.
What I do know is I always recommend to people to give that option a try for Wicked the day of the show they want to go to..
Can someone tell me the best time to go get cancellation tickets for Wicked? Is it when the BO opens? Or later on in the day, if they don't sell premium seats, they release them as 'Cancellation'..
Thanks!
Ryan
I've never done cancellation, but they sell 'premium' seats as regular seats. WHEN they make that switch varies.
I don't know much about cancellations, but they do not start to give those out when the BO opens...but the line can start as early as it opening.
Just be there for the lotto and try to win, if not go straight to the cancellation line...if you want to be a 100% you get to see the show, go even before the lotto and just wait, most people that wait in the line, wind up getting tickets. Full prices, by the way.
Believe it or not, muscle's advice is actually pretty sound.
The Wicked cancellation line window opens up at various intervals throughout the day. If you are willing to pay full price, get there as soon as the box office opens and queue up. Usually there will be people waiting outside prior to the doors opening, but you can assess that when you arrive.
They almost always open the window at least once before lotto, so if you want tickets and will pay full price, you can do that. If you're willing to wait and give lotto a shot, have one member of your group leave the line and go enter lotto. However, the person on the cancellation line can NOT enter the lotto (because you must be outside to win). And don't try and do it anyway and then run out if you win- I've seen that happen and the lotto guy WILL turn you away.
If you lose lotto, they typically open the window again about 15 minutes after lotto ends.
I've never tried getting tickets for any show through waiting on the cancellation line and I'm thinking of maybe giving this a try this weekend.
How does it work for a two-show day?
