Like everyone else, I've heard rumors that Ken Mandelbaum is the one who has it--but surely there's got to be someone else, right? Whoever has it, or knows who has it--it's time. I know no one owes anyone anything but what the heck are we waiting for?

Scott Wise filmed Act 1 from the balcony. He said battery died during intermission. No Act 2. I know a few original cast members. They all confirmed this.

You can move on with your life now.

Is there more than one? Because I'm sure I saw footage of the crazy staircase descending from the heavens.

Maybe you're mistaking the boot of the Stratford production (which has been on YouTube for years now) for Broadway?

I listened to an audience audio bootleg of the Broadway production as a kid and I recall thinking it would be overwhelming to have a clear recording of it.

Then I got a hold of the Broadway soundboard a few years later and I felt like miracles do happen.

Then I discovered the Stratford production in decent quality uploaded in its entirety on YouTube. My prayers had been answered.

Then I saw the first act boot of the Broadway production and wanted to see more even though the video quality and angle of the camera were so crappy, Betty Buckley was represented by a triangular black blob and Linzi a white fuzzy marshmellowman.

One of the most um...thrilling Carrie, the musical bootleg moments was watching the completely unnecessary and enormously complex white staircase descend from the rafters above, and for the first time, TOTALLY understanding how Barbara Cook almost had her head lopped off.

Love this! And I believe Cook said she was nearly decapitated from one of the car set pieces used in “Don’t Stop the Moon”
