When you pick tickets up @ Will Call, do you HAVE to have some sort of I.D.

My friend just bought Hair tickets and she put them under her Moms name. She is bringing the credit card with her to show. However, does she need to have an I.D. of her moms or something to get the tickets??

I am getting worried.

They usually ask for a photo ID and the credit card used to buy the tickets.

Oh man. Since she put it under her moms name, what is she supposed to do? She used her moms card to buy the tickets.

You might be able to call Telecharge and change the name the tickets are under to you're friends name.

I know you can be that when u buy the tickets. not so sure about after but its worth a try

I've done that before, they actually have the service of another party picking up the tickets, you'll be fine.

Plus, 90% of the time I go to a show they never ask for ID.

Is there anyway I can call the BO and tell the situation?

I have never ever been asked for my I.D. at the box office when picking up tickets. You probably won't have a problem, especially if it's the same last name.

And no, you can't call the box office directly.

Well I have done Will Call before at Hair and they asked for my I.D.

Maybe because I used a gift card to buy the tickets and there is no identification on gift cards...?

I'd have your friend's mom call the box office and say that her daughter will be picking up the tickets. I think if you call telecharge they charge a fee for that service.

You could call Telecharge and they sometimes will call the box office for you.

I don't understand why most box offices don't give out the direct # for situtations like this it would make things a lot easier

Am I allowed to call for my friend. She is not going to want to do it.

Does anyone have the direct number for the BO?

Really? Because the ticket system that is costing them a ton to use already provides the service, and it would drive the two people in the tiny box office insane, plus they wouldn't be able to handle all the phone calls? Maybe?

You need the confirmation number and name of the person the CC was under.

I just told my friend. And she is saying that since they both have the same last name then it is fine. I really hope so.

I've called box offices directly in the past though finding the numbers was hard.

Only direct numbers that I found were for a couple of the Nederlander theaters

I have too. I just call the operator and ask for the number re: Will Call Question

Now now..
Blaxx, Can we expect the children to know how to use an operator? Even as young as I am, I feel to say that I DO know how to use the operator in these days of google, whitepages.com, etc.

By reading this thread, I assume they don't even know what an operator is.

Exactly. That makes me want to cry into my Cosmo.

A few weeks ago, I was out at a bar and the dj was playing a 90s flashback mix. When Nsync came one, some brat 21 year old a table away from me started jamming and saying how he remembered the song ("I Want You Back") from "like elementary school." Needless to say, I needed a shot and a refill for that one.
