There were talks that he could possibly bring his show to Broadway but Ive heard nothing more. Is it still a possibility or has it altogether flatlined. He is getting up in age. I do wonder if well see him in anything again over on this side of the pond
He already did his show at the Hudson back in November. The whole concept behind his current show (if I understand correctly - I haven't seen it) is that each time he does it, he does it in a different theatre, so it wouldn't have worked for a sustained Broadway run.
Well he did do it at the Pinter in London for a few months and it was absolutely wonderful. I think the problem is that he donates all the money from these shows to arts charities and I don’t think there’s any way for him to do that on Broadway.
It's definitely possible. He seems to still be pretty active, and still loves performing. And these days we see plenty of octogenarians performing 8 shows a week. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he returns to Broadway at least 1 more time, but of course there are never any guarantees.
Yes. They are reviving Cats with the movie cast so that people can see him lick fake milk as Gus: The Theatre Cat in person. Strangely this revival will also feature the performers in CGI suits however since it is a stage production after all, they won't even look anything like cats. I know it's a weird choice but it's Ivo Van Howe’s not mine. (all jokes aside i certainly hope so)
