Posted: 2/1/05 at 8:24pmA show isn't certain to ever run for a certain amount of time, so no, it's not certain, but it's probable.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 8:31pmHopefully, it should last atleast till tony nominations.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 8:32pmI would say it would most likely run through June, I haven't seen it yet though. It will have a family/mother-daughter appeal. I am putting off going because there are no "cheap seats" besides rush. I DON'T HAVE MONEY! :)

Posted: 2/1/05 at 8:34pmThe rush seats are the same as when LSOH was there. They aren't that bad for the price.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:23pmI just hope they make a cd so I can have "Somethings Are Meant to Be" forever and ever.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:35pmIt more than likely will, esp. since they are going to lobby hard for Sutton as Best Actress.
#8re: Will Little Women last till June?
Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:40pmfrom what I've seen for this season's shows Sutton has a great shot at winning best actress. Sherie may give her some competition though (unless her role is featured, not lead...I have not seen DRS aside from the rehearsal video)
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05

Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:46pmSherie should be considered lead and should win. Her performance is spellbinding and hilarious. I loved her entrance.

I hope Sutton wins. Also a funny thing, if she does it means all the original cast women in my dream roles have won Tonys for that role.
Eponine- Les Miz (Frances Ruffelle won)
Elphaba- Wicked (Idina obviously won)
Jo March- Little Women (IF Sutton wins)

Posted: 2/1/05 at 10:38pmI hope someone other then Sutton wins the Tony, but I really hope the show lasts b/c I really want to see it.

I think the Leading Actress TONY will be very interesting this year. Of course I haven't seen anyhthing and won't till next September, but i keep hearing nothing but raves about Sarah Ramirez from Spamalot ( I guess she is a leading role, am I right ? )
Take care

I have to agree with you. Sutton has a Ton y already and clearly Millie was far more challenging and appropriate for her skills amd talents. I mean, she is a dancer by trade and Jo March- doesn't dance. By Sutton's own admission. I think the Tony should go to Victoria Clark as well. She was truly breathtaking. Of course upporting will be Maureen McGovern- all the way!!!!

Posted: 2/1/05 at 11:11pmI do hope Maureen walks away with it, but Sara Ramirez already has incredible buzz in a show that's going to be a huge hit. I predict it will be an upset if Maureen wins.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 11:55pmthey should give Maureen a special award just for being her. LOVE HER!!!!

Posted: 2/2/05 at 12:01amSara is a featured role, especially since they cut two of her songs during the Chicago preview (still hoping they'll be on the cast recording, though...). I loved her in Spamalot, but I've heard so many good things about Maureen (and even that tiny clip of her from the Broadway Festival had me practically bawling), I'm a bit torn now, especially now that Sara's role has been cut down.

Posted: 2/2/05 at 12:29amSutton is great, and from what I've heard she's wonderful in Little Women, but she just won a Tony recently....I think they should spread the wealth...Sara is amazing in Spamalot and should get a nomination for sure and I'd love to see Sherie get one as well....I can't wait for all those cast recordings to come out....I better start saving my money....

Look out for Victoria Clark to win over Foster.
And Ramirez will probably be Featured.

Margo...
I may have funds for only three shows....I want to see Spamalot,
DRS...and am leaning toward "Little Women" (I'm a major fan of the novel, the Kate Hepburn "Jo", etc)...is this worthy my time/money or should I take a pass. I hear it's kind of a light-weight treatment of the story.

Posted: 2/2/05 at 9:16amPass, Pass Pass - the show was mediocre at best. If they are going to lobby Maureen McGovern for Best Acress, I bet she won't even be nominated.
#23re: Will Little Women last till June?
Posted: 2/2/05 at 9:36amThey would have to be idiots to lobby for Maureen as Best Actress.
#24re: Will Little Women last till June?
Posted: 2/2/05 at 9:46amI agree. While she had the two best songs of the entire score, which truthfully isn't saying much, her stage time is minimal at best. She has a better change of being nominated in the supporting category, although I really doubt she will find herself nominated. This is a good year for female supporting roles and I think she will find herself without a nomination.
