So I have questions, does anyone know if Priscilla will go another leg on Tour- If so will it go Non-Equity like Addams Family? How many shows only tour Equity for the first year and then switch to Non Eq.? If I remember correct, Hairspray Did this. Can Priscilla be done Non Eq.? Just wondering...
I would love for them to Tour another year but I have a feeling they will just close in Seattle.

Priscilla could EASILY tour non-Equity, should they choose.
A year and a half on the road is about what Memphis did, playing a similar schedule.
Hairspray toured for very nearly 3 years on it's First National Tour, launching summer 2003 in Baltimore and ending summer 2006 in Portland.
I don't know, I mean 500 costumes, the bus... I Guess it would just depend on which Company takes it on.
LOL- I had forgotten how Long Spray toured, I Really don't know why I thought it was only a Year equity- Must mean it's too early for me! LOL
Priscilla is touring for 2013-2014 season. I'm pretty sure it is still equity.
Has there been some sort of official announcement made that they will tour next year? Not doubting you, just wanted to know more.

I have a feeling if it tours again as a non-equity tour, it might become more like the UK National Tour Production.

They are testing a Vegas sit down these next couple of months. Currently playing the Venetian. It doesn't seem to be selling all that well. But the local press has loved it. ( by the way.. no intermission and 10 minutes shorter)

I'm kind of surprised that they didn't just go right to Vegas in the first place, and equally surprised that it's not selling all that well. Though I wonder if there's a lack of advertising. This was the first I had heard it was there, and none of my friends who live and work in Vegas have mentioned it.
Dame, do you know if it is just the tour doing an extended stop there or is it a whole new company?
Dame: How does the show work without an intermission? And do you know what they cut out? Also are they playing the theatre where Phantom previously resided?
AEA AGMA SM: It's an extended tour stop.

It is the tour. And as far as attendance.. you know.. that goes up and down depending on if there are any big conventions in town. But it is hotter than hell there right now. Oh and the show works great. They just cut the music from the top of act 2. Everything else is intact.
Fun1 Vegas is a perfect fit for the show, hope it does well there. I saw the tour in L.A. and while it wasn't a piece of art, it was a really good show. I could rank it higher than many shows in the same "fun" vein, even over "Hairspray" and "Mamma Mia." I was smiling the whole time and the tour bus was INCREDIBLE! It's a shame it didn't do too well in New York.
Anyone know if performance rights will ever be available?
I have wondered this too- I think it would be hard to do regionally- The bus, 500 costumes- At least at the scale it was on Broadway or Tour.
When you say the cut out the top of act two- which songs do you mean- I assume the Barnyard Dance- Thank God I'm a Country Boy. But what else?
It could work Non-Eq. If shows like Cats and Les Miz can work regionally and whatnot, I think it can be done. It's just a matter of will it sell in these smaller markets. Would Priscilla sell well in South Carolina if it can't sell well in Vegas? etc.

Priscilla Will Not Tour Again. The Equity production of Priscilla will close in Seattle. This information comes directly from the Tour Management and Booking Office for the production. There has been no announcement of any non-equity show going out. So that's the end of Priscilla and the road.
Great behind the scenes article.
Oh and regarding what studman9132 has said. No decision has been made about any of that. NONE.

All I can say is this is a portion of the email I received from the tour mgmt/booking office on the equity production. Personally I hope it does continue to tour.

I'm glad I got the chance to re-watch this show with the Brazilian cast. Even though I loved Tony Sheldon's performance, I wasn't a big fan of the other 2 leads on Broadway, especially Nick Adams. I loved that they cast a VERY young actor for Adam/Felicia over here in Brazil... I thought that turning the character a "teenager" made more sense.
I'm pretty surprised the tour didn't come to New Orleans. It would have done pretty well down here.
