She mentions hoping that NYC will welcome her back in the New Year --
"...I hope NYC will welcome me back at the first of the year...leaving Southern CA's perfect weather for a New York winter...am I crazy?! ..."
I hope this means that she will be replacing Idina in WICKED.

Yes. Rehearsals usually take place in NYC and the show does not begin until March. She would be there a couple months.

I can guess that if she IS taking over the role of Elphaba, maybe she is nervous because she is replacing the Tony award winner for Best Actress. Hell, I would be nervous.

New York winters aren't THAT bad. She should go to the New England states for a winter. Man, it's cold up there.

That web site was started by a fan when she starred in a couple of productions during a couple of seasons of Music Circus.
She was Polly in Crazy For You, and in Damn Yankees, and one other ,but I can't remember which.

I know I've said this before but...since you brought it up
I would be the happiest girl on earth is Stephanie replaced Idina. I think she is wonderful! Her cabaret act blew me away--I love her! And then I'd have my two favorite actresses in the same show!

There was nothing spectacular about Block and apparantly, the critics and Tony voters felt the same way. But hey, seems to me, from reading this thread at least, that she's doing her darndest to go after the job, so it's possible. Anything is.
