Of course he's going to make some stinkers--they can't all be gems--there are some creaky Billy Wilder and John Ford films out there too...
But if nothing else, he gave us:
MANHATTAN
ANNIE HALL
BROADWAY DANNY ROSE
STARDUST MEMORIES
HUSBANDS AND WIVES
CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS
HANNAH AND HER SISTERS
BULLETS OVER BROADWAY
DECONSTRUCTING HARRY
LOVE AND DEATH
PLAY IT AGAIN SAM (W Herb Ross directing)

I forgot about Deconstructing Harry...WONDERFUL!
I will admit that it took me many viewings before I really started to like Crimes. The first time I saw it, my neighbor and I were ready to walk out. Fell in love with it while doing my independent study.

Posted: 5/19/08 at 5:38pmMatch Point was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. My friend and I laughed so hard at the end we started crying.

Deconstructing Harry is a very clever and moving film.
I'd hardly say there's conclusive proof he is past it.
Bullets the musical would be awesome.
