Will the Box Offices Remain Open?

So...
Will the box offices remain open to sell future tickets or will tickets only be available online? I'm looking to reschedule a lot of my shows to sometime in May, but I'm also trying to avoid the ridiculous fees.

Anyone know?

Have no idea but it might be the smart thing to just do them online until Apr 13.

Why would that be the smart thing?  Most of us are still traveling around the city anyways for work.

Why not be safe and not have the box office people have to deal with people who may be sick and don't know they have the virus? Anything people want to do regarding Broadway can be done online so for a month just be careful. I would think the people who work at the box office could be set up to work selling tickets online. Just my opinion.

Shubert box offices and stage doors are still staffed and operating during their regular hours.

Thank you!  Happy those jobs have stayed.

The box office people are pretty safe behind glass and I've gone completely cashless in this situation.  I've been wearing yellow cleaning gloves around for when I have to sign or enter my pin number on the machines.

You don't care about the jobs, you just don't want to pay the online fees... There's literally no other reason to champion that outside of personal reasons.

Coronavirus Can Live in Patients for Five Weeks After Contagion

For those lucky enough not to be living through the Italian lockdown, pay attention: What’s happening in Milan, Florence and Rome offers a likely preview of what’s coming to New York, London or Paris in a week or two.

What is social distancing? This practice is key to slowing the coronavirus, public health experts say  the tactic will help ‘flatten the curve’ and prevent an explosion of new cases

Canceling eventsClosing schools. Avoiding crowds. Staying home. All of these actions have one goal in common, and it can help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 illness: social distancing.

I've only been saying this for the last week. I would recommend following the World Health Organization and not the CDC.

I'd like to add that's not the fault of the actual, real workers of the CDC but director Redfield and the spud who appointed him, Donald Jolene Trump.

I have colleagues there.  It's so sad they have to tell people to look elsewhere.

I saw box offices open today when I was in Times sq area. I have a feeling they'll probably be open tomorrow as well but not sure on Monday. I'd go sooner than later if I were you.

I do care.  I have friends who work in the box offices.  I've reached out to them and it seems that they will be closing on Monday.  What a rude and unnecessary response.

I don't, but you can wonder about not paying for fees while also being concerned for people's jobs.  It's not an either/or situation.

I'm also currently on the "shut everything the f down" team right now and I decided against rebooking as I don't know if the blackout will extend beyond April 12th.

Thank you for sharing this info. Hoping theater owners/operators close box offices/stage doors to allow their staff to social-distance. (to be clear - they should continue to be paid. it's not their fault that a pandemic is occurring when they otherwise would have been working!)
