Witches of Eastwick- has it ever been staged in the US?

"It does what a musical is supposed to do; it takes you to another world. And it gives you a little tune to carry in your head. Something to take you away from the dreary horrors of the real world. A little something for when you're feeling blue. You know?"

Sadly not. And it's extremely unlikely that the original Cameron Mackintosh production will ever make it across the pond re: Witches of Eastwick- has it ever been staged in the US? However, I understand that there are still plans to get in staged in North America at some point (whether pro, amateur or a mix of the two), so fingers crossed!

I thought I read somewhere that a few years back there was a workshop with Emily Skinner! I don't remember where I read that, but if that had come to fruition it would have been amazing!

You heard right - along with James Barbour, Alix Korey and others whose names escape me. It would appear that it didn't impress the necessary people re: Witches of Eastwick- has it ever been staged in the US?

I think it was more of a reading than a workshop.

I loved the production in London.

Was this musical based on the movie or the novel? They are quite different from each other, but I'm assuming the movie.

I assumed it had incorporated some of the book. There are things in the musical that don't happen in the movie!

Yes, they put back in the son having a 'first love' relationship.
