Where Can I find the lyrics of this song? Just listening to Bernadette's version and I was thinking of a loved one and would love to send these lyrics. What show is this from?

It's from Anyone Can Whistle.

I love this song too. I have Jerry Hadley and Carolann Page singing it on my recording of the Sondheim Celebration at Carnegie Hall. Beautiful.

This song makes me sad even thought it is meant to be a somewhat happy song.

There's a lyric in this, I can't remember what it is exactly and I'm too lazy to click on the link, but the character says something like:

"What a strange world we live in.
Can't complain about the time we're given."

That's completely off the mark but the end rhymes are live in and given, and it always, ALWAYS makes me think of:

"Oh, it's time to start livin'!
Time to take a little of the time we're given!"

I actually just went back to hear this song again. It is a great romantic song.
